about Dr. Naimish Mehta

I have been involved for more than 20 years in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology performing complex surgeries of the liver and the biliary system. Have been involved in over 1000 liver transplantation procedures including living donor and cadaveric donor organ transplantation.
 
After working as Asst.Professor in Gastro-Intestinal Surgery from 2001 - 2004, at B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital and T. N. Medical College, Mumbai, joined Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Hospital as a Consultant in General & G.I. surgery. 
 
To gain further experience in HPB and Liver Transplantation, I joined the Fellowship programme at major Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic and Liver Transplantation centres in London, Leeds and Birmingham, United Kingdom (UK). I have also been awarded Diploma in Liver Transplantation from The European Board of Surgery.
 
After completing the fellowship, I joined the esteemed Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplant Unit at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and am now working as the Co-Chairman of the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology, HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation at , Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
 
I have published numerous peer-reviewed articles on a spectrum of GI surgery, Hepato-biliary-pancreatic and Liver transplantation topics. In addition, I have been presenting scientific data at national and international meetings and have been invited as a speaker/faculty in various conferences. Also I provide my services as a peer reviewer for the Cochrane Library publications, Liver Transplantation Journal,etc
